Sumer Organization for Public Health and Sustainable Development
Sumer Organization for Public Health and Sustainable Development is a registered NGO in Iraq, founded in 2023 to empower youth in the medical field by strengthening their academic and research skills.
We launched a national initiative in partnership with the Youth Council of the Prime Minister’s Office and in collaboration with the Iraqi Medical Syndicate, titled
“Empowerment Journey: Activating Medical Students’ Research Capabilities.”
The project includes an interactive educational platform, in-person and online training sessions, lectures, workshops, and a national research competition.
We believe that empowering medical students in research and academics is a key step toward advancing Iraq’s healthcare system and shaping a generation of capable and impactful professionals.
